NRSC convinces Elder not to run
Larry Elder, a libertarian talk show host, was considering a run for United States Senate in California until Sen. John Cornyn and the National Republican Senatorial Committee told him not to.
I understand the desire to run a candidate that can win, but it's California. You're not going to win anyway, so why not run a principled candidate or just get out of the way in general?

So now the rabid pro-lifers will have yet another reason to hate the NSRC since that paves the way for Carly to get the GOP nomination.
