Well, I googled Troy Davis to get some info and found this website:
http://www.troyanthonydavis.org/
No mention of Savannah Police Officer Mark Allen MacPhail who is still dead and has been for 18 years. No mention of his family either.
So I checked this website:
http://www.amnestyusa.org/death-penalty/troy-davis-finality-over-fairness/page.do?id=1011343
I found Officer McPhail mentioned in the 6th paragraph. But only in passing and no mention of what his family has been through.
One more try:
http://www.usnews.com/articles/opinion/2009/06/26/the-supreme-court-upholding-troy-daviss-death-penalty-would-be-a-crime.html
But alas, still no sympathy for McPhail or his family.
I guess McPhail family is out of luck. Too bad very few media outlets apparently care about his murder, care about his family or care about anything other than the fact that political correctness trumps reality in America these days.

I think they are focused on the fact that witnesses have recanted their previous testimony and are raising serious questions whether or not an innocent man will be put to death for a crime he did not commit.
No one is putting aside the pain tehe McPhail family has experienced, but it seems reasonable that since questions have been raised that they explore new facts that may have been brought to light.

I remember a case many years ago right here where a man went to prison for a double homicide and sat on death row and was found to be innocent. He was released and had lost his mind after his wife had found another man so he shot her and himself. The county was sued and had to pay his children for their actions. Something that happened a long time ago.
