GLW running for 2009 session
I'm preparing Georgia Legislative Watch for another session of the state legislature. Unlike last year, I hope to finish the session. I got burned out early on last year and wasn't able to keep up. GLW was dead until this afternoon, neither Chris or myself had any intention of starting it up again, but there needs to be a blog that solely focuses on the legislature.
I've set up a Twitter feed for GLW posts. We'll be ready to go by Monday.
By the way, the State of the State address will be given by Gov. Sonny Perdue on Wednesday, January 14th at 10am.

Thanks for the info. We look forward to getting the news on what will be happening under the Gold Dome.

I saw Senate Appropriations Chair Jack Hill on 11/alive this morning make the appalling claim that "no one saw this[ economic downturn] coming." No one in government that is.
Why should this blindly ignorant statement by an elected official not surprise anyone?
The rainy day is here and the pigs have consumed all the corn in the crib.

How come the State of the Union is on during prime time (and blocks out all broadcast channels), but the State of the State is on in the middle of the morning in the middle of the workweek?
Coudln't it at least be on primetime on GPB??
