Still no reason to vote for Chambliss
Further proof that Saxby Chambliss doesn't get it:
Chambliss said he hoped voters who cast Libertarian ballots for Allen Buckley on Nov. 4 because they were “upset” with Chambliss for supporting a $700 billion bailout of the nation’s lending institutions would turn to him in the runoff. We have let it "sink in" and theThose “emotional” voters “happened to go vote early and hadn’t had time” to let the necessity for the federal government’s rescue plan “sink in,” he said.
Asked if he had an endorsement from Buckley, Chambliss said he didn’t know.
“We would love to have his endorsement,” he said.

What a surprise. Hope on, Saxby - we're not convinced the "bailout" was necessary, and certainly not as urgent as pretended. Heck, Paulson all but admitted yesterday that he hasn't used the bailout money yet, and it's more than a month after the bill was passed - yes, that bill that Paulson said had to be passed that week so that he could act "quickly". So now not only has he not acted quickly, he's changed his mind about what to do with the $$. Makes me wonder if he would have gotten his "plan" approved in early October if he had told the Congress that he was going to use it to buy equity in banks and to "provide liquidity" for consumer credit...
Here's my admonition to Saxby: you'd better show some contrition for going against the wishes of your constitutents and change your tune about this bailout if you want any Buckley supporters to cast a vote for you in the runoff. "Hoping" that we see the light of your omniscient wisdom is not gonna get it done, pal.

Saxby must be a joy as a husband. He's one of those who tells his wife she's being a silly goose when she has any concern greater than a hang nail. How does such an obtuse ass get that far?

Saxby is 'talking-down' to intelligent people. He will not acknowledge the misguided nature of the bailout; he will not ackowledge that nationalizing financial istitutions - and now the press through MS-NBC's parent GE - violates the principles he was elected to preserve.
I cannot agree with placing Martin in the job.
I cannot agree with placing Saxby in the job.
We are apparently left in the cold with either.

All the reason to just simply sit this one out... If the PSC4 race has a good bit more total votes than the Senate race, that will send a message in my opinion. I cannot and will not vote for either of these men.

A filibuster-proof senate is reason enough for me to vote for Saxby. The Federal government works best when it works slow. A filibuster would be the only thing to slow one party.
