Schumer wants $700 billion "stimulus"

Apparently a $1 trillion budget deficit means nothing to Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY). He wants another "stimulus" package of up to $700 billion:

Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) on Sunday said an economic recovery plan would have to cost $500 to $700 billion in order to be effective.

Noting that the economy is in “serious, serious trouble,” Schumer said on ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” that a recovery plan would need to be “pretty big.”
[...]
Schumer said his vision of the economic stimulus is “a little like having a new New Deal, but you do it before a depression occurs, not after.”

Didn't the Congress pass a $700 billion bailout that was supposed to restore confidence in the market and to aide the economic recovery? How do you plan to pay for it now that President-Elect Barack Obama may put off a tax increase for at least two years?

Oh, we are so screwed.

They have gotten a taste for money and it will not stop there. I remember someone saying follow the money and that is just what we need to do. See who is asking for the bailouts and see how they want to use the money. All they are doing is milking the taxpayers for all it is worth. Our world just got a little more complicated at a time when it is bad enough.
