Atlanta wants a bailout from the Feds

The City of Atlanta wants a bailout "federal rescue":

Franklin said the economic crisis gripping the nation has caused sales and property tax receipts to plummet and that building and licensing permit revenues are down.

And if current economic conditions continue, she told the City Council’s Finance/Executive committee, “This will not be the last time you see me before the end of the fiscal year.”

The mayor said the city needs a “federal rescue plan” in addition what it is doing.

Hmm. That's the same Mayor Shirley Franklin whose entire campaign thrust was based on her purported ability to balance the city's budget, right?

That's right KR, But she seen that other's are asking for fed help. So she decided to take the easy way out. Then that green eyed monster (GREED) came to town.

Dark Knight.

The best federal bailout of Atlanta would be Obama appointing Shirley Franklin to something that gets her out of office before her term ends.

Her second term has been disastrous and can't end soon enough.

No way "Shirley-Girl's" gonna give up the "revenue" from taxes.
