John McCain, please stop trying to give me $5000 to buy my own healthcare that will not cover anything. Can I get it, probably not for that price, but if I could, it would not cover any preexisting conditions. Mr. McCain, you have a wonderful healthcare plan, why are you forcing me into a plan that is worthless?

John McCain, American Hero, forgot his lapel pin tonight, and I'm laughing about it after receiving propaganda about Obama doing the same for MONTHS!

One debate to go.

Solution to Social Security: remove Congressional access to the funds paid in. By stopping the funneling of money into every pork barrel out there, the "trust fund" would actually exist. Not asa a lockbox, but as a kind of escrow account.

Medicaid is a whole 'nother thing, as McCain said.

Your right Larry. If they would keep their fingers out of Social Security (which was supposed to be a fund of our money)then we wouldn't have problems with the fund. But the lawmakers love that money.

Didn't you mean to say "lawbreakers" love that money?
If it weren't so much fun at watching the prophecy being fulfilled I would really be upset at the lies our government is trying to sell as truth.
Obama is by speech and example a socialist and McCain is a democrap that is trying to pass himself off as a republican.
There is not one ounce of common sense among the entire political system in our nation. I am reminded of my days in corporate america when someone with the right connections, correct response to a superior, and sometimes just had a good personality would be given increasing responsibility and authority only to implode when they had to make the first unassisted decision.
Much as the present politicians that are imploding our nation.
But hey they sure look good while being total morons.

Did you notice how much, not as quoted words but more of a general implication the phrase "from those according to ability to those according to need" was used last night by BOTH respondents in the debate?
For the life of me I can not understand how students think it is my and your responsibility to proved them with student loans. How those who are employed by a firm that doesn't provide health insurance plans think it is my and your responsibility to provide them with health insurance much less affordable health insurance. How many folks think it is my and your responsibility to bail them out from a house note that common sense would have told them that they could not afford.
I have grown very tired of the argument about "predatory lending" being the cause of so many foreclosures in the real estate industry. When you sign a contract that says "I will cut your toe off at the end of this contract" you are guilty of one of four things. You didn't read the contract, you think the other party to the contract will not enforce the contract, you don't care if you lose your toe or you are just plain stupid and deserve to lose your toe.
The very premise that GOVERNMENT is the cure all and provider of solutions to what is going on in America is stupid at best. Government is the CAUSE not cure for what ails the citizens of America.
As you know I am not a well educated man in the sense of formal education but even I can tell you that 2 plus 2 equals 4 ,you can't spend more than you take in, you must do without if the funds to do are not in hand, SPLOST is a prime example of that kind of stupidity.
Vote for SPLOST or your tax will go up.....HUH?
Where in the Bill of Rights or the Constitution is it written that Government must provide handouts, bailouts, safety nets,or any of the other programs that are nothing more than vote buying.
And Larry,
Doesn't the very word SOCIAL as in Social Security frighten you ...
I think I will puke if I hear "tax cuts for the middle class" one more time.
How about tax cuts for the WORKING class I don't care if you are upper middle or lower.
What Obama and McCain both are saying is "lets help the poor by taking from the haves and giving to the have nots, that way everybody will be equal".
I personally am not for economic equality because not every one contributes the same to the economy and until the powers that be in our government learn this and accept this the free market driven ideology of capitalism can not and will not recover.
I know if I am going to pay a higher tax because of success in business and my compensation will be no more because of government confiscation of my increased earnings so they can REDISTRIBUTE it, I will work less have more time and be compensated just a much.
In other words if I am going to work in order to turn the control of my resources over to someone in Washington or Atlanta I just won't work as hard and I will still have just as much.
I don't mind helping folks out BUT it will be on my terms not some bureaucrap in Washington or Atlanta who is using MY tax dollar to buy themselves another term in a political office.
We are in deep dodo if the voters of our country think Obama or McCain and a political ideology is going to turn this stuff around. No president can set policy, law or effect the national agenda the way folks think Bush has done. We are in the soup because CONGRESS , the Representatives and Senators are basically corrupt and self serving.
They make the laws and the President can do one of three things. Sign it into law ,allow it to become law without his signature or VETO it in which case the CONGRESS can override his veto and it becomes law.
The house and senate are totally responsible for what has happened to our nation .....well right after the voter who continues to be given choices between evil and really evil.
Parties should be held on New Years not the driving force behind the laws that rule us as a nation.
In closing just let me say I am not actively seeking election but if I get enough write in votes I will serve...lol

Don, very well written my friend. You are right on the point that Congress with the aid of their friends in the lobby industry have gotten their hands so dirty with money that the smell will not wash off. If people continue to keep voting for the same person or ideology in hopes things will change then madness has set in.
Good to hear from you again sir.
