Quote of the Day
I thought this was timely:
“Freedom is something that cannot be passed on in the blood stream, or genetically. And it’s never more than one generation away from extinction. Every generation has to learn how to protect and defend it, or it’s gone and gone for a long, long time. Already, many of us, particularly those in business and industry, there are too many who have switched rather than fight. And it’s time that particularly, some of our corporations learned, that when you get in bed with government, you’re going to get more than a good night’s sleep.” – Ronald Reagan

Comments
The financial sector has now found a way that Mr. Reagan was referring to in his statement and that is a way for the government to intervene into private business. We are just one generation away from losing our freedom or maybe in this generation. We are seeing the beginning of the end of innocence in our society. We have walked into the very trap that our ancestors tried to stay away from full government control. The people are the government but now the government has grown into something that many did not see coming. Can we do something about it? Maybe, but it will take a generation or more to do. Time is not on our side. Hopefully we can walk through the valley of the shadow with the hand of God guiding our way. A time of fear, angst, and worry is leading into a time of wanton grief. May we pass through this time with faith and honor.
