Mr. Obama's speech was something right out of "The American President." He was saying exactly what the struggling people of this nation would want to hear. What is interesting is how candidate's know they cannot deliver on most of what they say during the campaign. They will talk about how they feel our needs, our struggles, our wants, and how hard it is to survive. No one knows how someone else truly feels unless they have experienced or as my father used to say walked in their shoes. Elections and political agenda's have turned into big money and entertainment. All at the expense of the citizens. People like the show and glitz part of the procedure.
What really counts is what is not said in these speeches. The true story behind the thought process of the candidate. America has been in hard times for a while now and it isn't going to get better over night. Talking about fixing the problems of America and really doing something about it is a totally different animal. Most politicians love to talk. As they say talk is cheap and the problems with America are not going to be a cheap fix. Hopefully our nation will not succumb to it's own fallacy. Only time will tell and I truly hope we have the time.
