DNC Open Thread - Day 2

This is the second day of the Democratic Party's convention in Denver. Mark Warner, former Governor and current US Senate nominee in Virginia, is the keynote speaker. Hillary Clinton is also due to speak (I want to say by video, but not sure). This is supposed the be the day where the Clinton faction and the Obama faction are supposed to collide. I don't expect anything of interest to happen.

Oh, and someone tell Neal Boortz quit his whining about how no Democrats will come on his show, or any other conservative show, during the convention.

Comments

This convention maneuver is
part of the same old dog and pony show. Nothing new just glitz, glamour, and spending a lot of money.

If Boortz stop whining there would be no content to his show.

Can you believe how elementary and non intellectual the speech writers have made the level of communication being spouted by the speakers at the DNC event?
My 9 year old granddaughter has a higher level of logic than any of the speakers I have heard and she isn't even all that interested in the political system.
But unlike most of those having a part there in Denver she does know about the issues. Now I have to admit my 6 year old granddaughter doesn't know as much about foreign policy as Obama but we have issued a challenge to the Obama campaign for a debate between her and Obama on domestic issues.

Don, I would be on your granddaughter's side my friend. I have heard today that at the convention they are moving his acceptance speech to the stadium and will have a set that looks like something from Ancient Rome. This has the appearance of a man who spoke about eighty years ago in a similar setting in Germany. Times are interesting.
