Gettin' Hitched
Amanda and I are heading to Las Vegas on August 17th where we will be getting hitched and spending our honeymoon.
Here is how the whole ordeal went down. Initially she wanted a reception, not a formal wedding ceremony, at a cost of $10k. I was down with that for a while, but eventually I talked her out of it after she started thinking about going on a cruise and getting married by the captain. Then she brought up Vegas and getting married by Elvis a couple weeks later. I mentioned that I had an issue with that, not so much Vegas but getting married by Elvis. I threw the veto on that pretty quick, but I felt that since we weren't doing the big reception that I should go along with Vegas.
So, that is what we are doing after six years of being a couple.

Awesome. That's pretty much how Amber and I will do it. We'll probably even put it on Ustream or something. We also know another couple who are going to Vegas to get hitched on New Years. Beats dropping $10K.

Thanks, Rusty.
If we get a video, I may put it on YouTube or something. We'll see.

Elvis is awesome. Now if she wanted Michael Jaskson to marry you two, that would be worth a veto. Lets face it, weddings are for the Bride. Make her happy and she will keep you happy :)

Congratulations. Remember the key to a happy marriage are just two simple words, "Yes, dear". : )

Congratulations!! Janice and my anniversary is Aug.20. What I am waiting to see is how much things change when a little J.is on the way. It does seem to change your thought pattern a bit.The main thing is to enjoy the ride, and remember it is not 50-50 it is 100-100. By the way Elvis is not a bad thing. Reid Bowman
