I understand a Douglas mailer will come out tomorrow with that endorsement.

He can save .44 (or is it .45 yet?) on me, he got my vote on Monday.

I have to choose which candidate I dislike the least for this race.

That's not surprising to me. Can anyone tell me if there's a primary challenger to a Republican incumbent that received an endorsement from Purdue?
I've heard of no Purdue endorsements AGAINST an incumbent Republican. Are there any out there?
Basically endorsements like these aren't worth a cent. I know there's a lot of people in the 17th who've been sitting around saying to themselves, "I'm waiting on that Purdue endorsement before I make up my mind."

Danny,
The Governor generally stays out of legislative races.

Jason,
Which confirms my point.
Unless there is a real fear in the Douglas camp that Crotts might sneak up & win next week. And we all know the Braves have a better shot at winning the pennant this year than Crotts winning next week's primary.

Then why make the endorsement?
I take it as a rebuke of Crotts, more than anything. After all, Perdue did serve with him in the Senate.

"I take it as a rebuke of Crotts, more than anything."
Then is it an endorsement for Douglas, or is it a slap in the face to Crotts? An extreme example may be my vote next week. It won't be for Crotts, but will be against Douglas.
Douglas doesn't need the endorsement to beat Crotts next week. There's no competitive reason for the endorsement. Wouldn't you agree? So I think yes, it may be more of a slap on Crotts.

Perdue wants Douglas and Perdue wants the commuter rail! Common sense says Douglas support of the commuter rail was just bought and paid.
No thanks Sonny Boy! I will not vote for you again and now I will not vote for Douglas on Tuesday. This is the first time in my voting life that I have ever changed my mind so near election time.
I see what this endorsement can cost Henry County and I hope others do also.
