Police state failure in the UK

CCTV has failed in Britain:

Massive investment in CCTV cameras to prevent crime in the UK has failed to have a significant impact, despite billions of pounds spent on the new technology, a senior police officer piloting a new database has warned. Only 3% of street robberies in London were solved using CCTV images, despite the fact that Britain has more security cameras than any other country in Europe.
Of course, the excuse will be that they aren't spending enough money on surveillance and they'll get more funding for it.

What is the definition of insanity again?

The definition of insanity is trying to get the same results using the same technique over and over again. This report from the UK is another situation of "big brother" watching you. This technique has been in use around the world for years now. Just take a look at how many cameras there are around watching everything we do. I remember seeing a report in the mid 1980's where our own government has link ups developed even then to watch us here and there it didn't matter where we went and I mean in real time. I have seen some of this early technology and I am sure that it has been improved upon since those days. People have no privacy and there is a little known fact that the propaganda of the government that these camera are to fight against a threat to our nation is not always true. We have seen this in the press as of late. It is as I have said we get up each day not knowing what is around the next corner. Do we step around that corner or do we not? There are limitless possibilities to what might possibly happen to us in any scenario of what might be around that corner. Remember there are camera's right here in Henry County watching our every move in stores as we shop, on our streets, on our sidewalks, in our schools, on the buses, and even from private sources. The list is limitless. Yes big brother is watching and has been watching us for years and will continue to do so because we were asleep while it was all occurring.
Was it in our best interest or is it invasion of our liberties? Only time will tell as future generations if they are here will discuss, debate and argue over the beginnings of their destiny.
The Doctor

We should have purchased this system for the US Border Patrol instead of the 20 million dollar virtual fence that has a O % efficiency at least 3 % of the millions that now are after our social security and from the looks of things they are going to get it.
