GCO praises passage of HB 89
Georgia Carry sent out this press release celebrating the passage of HB 89 by the Georgia General Assembly.
A post from the GCO website reads:
HB89 is on its way to the Governor to sign. For the first time in our lifetimes, Georgia Firearms Licensees will be able to carry in restaurants that serve alcohol, State Parks (and the buildings thereon), Wildlife Management Areas, and on mass transit. This victory would not have possible without GCO members Sen. John Douglas, and of course Rep. Timothy Bearden and their without their personal efforts and leadership. In the darkest days when everyone wanted HB89 to go away, these patriots would not surrender or quit. They are reason why HB89 passed.Congrats to GCO on this victory.

Yes, thank you Sen. Douglas and Rep. Bearden. You've done a great service to the people of this State by protecting our rights and making sure we have the ability to protect ourselves and our families.

Yes Senator Douglas, Thanks for giving me the right to take my gun in a restaurant and then vote to take away my right to defend myself going to work....Your parking lot bill. But I guess you were more interested in the Chamber of Commerce giving you an award than you were my second amendment rights and calling it protecting property rights. Some of us know the truth about your vote on eminate domain and the spin yuo put on that one too. What double standards you have when it comes to your recognition. You really know how to spin your lies. Beware of this man.

Susan,
I was employed by one of the nations largest airlines and was told many time that I could be terminated for bringing a firearm into the parking lot that was leased by that firm, but you need to understand your rights under the law that no individual may search your car as a condition of your employment. Just use good common sense and lock your car. I carried for 28 years and even once carried my pistol into the office in my brief case.. by mistake as I had been to the gun range prior to going to work..very stressful day . when I realized that I was in a secure area with a 44 mag in my posession..but locked my case and did my 8 then made sure I didn't make that mistake again...I did have one coworker who later enjoyed asking me if my brief case was loaded....I had told him of the incident many months after it happened. Again just use common sense and deny being armed if asked.Again you have rights even on private property.

Don,
Thanks for the information. I intend to take my rights in spite of people like Senator Douglas who sided with the Ga. Chamber of Commerce (an organization who has always wanted our guns. They even tried to get our bullets one time)
I just cringe ever time someone like Senator Douglas whittles away at our second amendment rights.
Keep the faith. I'm still going to be a pistol packing mama.

Georgia Carry says good things about Senator Douglas. That means alot to me as a Second Amendment advocate.
