Are you getting what you order?

Amanda and I caught this the other day. It is an I-Team investigation into restaurants that put red snapper or grouper on the menu but you actually get something get some different.

The first part of the investigation is disappointing because RuSans, one of our favorite restaurants in Atlanta, was featured. At least they owned up to it when confronted about it. One guy refused to talk about it. Another said they got red snapper and showed Randy Travis part of the package that clearly read tilapia.

Having worked in restaurants, I can tell you that you'd probably never eat at one again if you knew some of the stuff that went down in the kitchen. Stuff like this is only the tip of the iceberg.

You can watch the first part here and the second here.

By the way. In Part One that's big time BfDer Bernita Smith. About a month ago she told me about the interview with the RuSan's manager and I howled.

I remember back in 1974 my Dad went to a very well known restaurant in Atlanta
and ordered a dozen oysters.
When they brought them to him he tried to cut them with his fork and could not.
He then proceeded to take and knife and tried to cut them and was finally successful. He tasted one and it was chicken gizzards.
This has been happening for a long time.
The Doctor

I too am a big Ru Sans fan who explusively eats the lunch buffet. As such I did not have any expectations regarding snapper and was not as bothered by the seemingly common misrepresentation that Ru Sans has remedied.
