Weekly column - Feb. 29th

"This message of "change" is a cover for the same collectivist driven, big-government agenda that has been pushed by the Democratic Party for years."

Here is my weekly column. I wrote about Barack Obama, so I'm fully expecting some hate mail off this one.

I think you are one of the few that has touched on the point of the blowback from the conservative radio's campaign against Hillary. They should have examined other viable threats to the conservative movement and not just Clinton (who is more conservative the people giver her credit for). While talk radio spent so much time crucifying Hillary Clinton they forgot to look out for their own and now we have John McCain as the Republican nominee.

The best possible outcome for this election would be that Barack Obama wins the presidency and the GOP implodes on itself and fractures into two parties, the Paleo-Conservatives (Goldwater types and Libertarians) and the Neo-Conservatives (So-Cons and current Republicans). Of course this prediction is being very generous to the Libertarians because this would mean they would actually have to mobilize and rank and file behind one thing.

But overall Jason, great article. These are points that not a lot of people would touch on.

I really wish the fiscal conservatives would break away from the religious "conservatives" in the Republican Party and form a new party. I will never vote for someone like McCain who brownnoses James Dobson, Jerry Falwell and the other theocrats/creationists. McCain is a whore (the bad kind).

Reagan was the original cult of personality.

Not including Stalin or Che Guevara, right?

Or Jesus?
