Low Turnout

At about noon, roughly 65 people had voted in South Hampton, and roughly 105 in North Hampton. This includes non-city (just SPLOST) ballots. I have heard that 180 voted early in Hampton (it may have been 280, I forget, so don't quote me).

PLEASE GO VOTE!

This is absolutely embarassing for the residents of Henry County, not just the residents of Hampton. The desire to complain about city government is so strong, but no one wants to get off their rear ends to do anything about it.

My wife and I had to vote at 2 different polls last night due to SPLOST and Stockbridge elections. In both cases, we were in and out in less than 5 minutes. The voting was accomplished while driving to a restaurant for dinner. There are NO excuses for not voting.

This county gets what it deserves as far as elected officials, and the resulting policies.
