Clinton didn't do so well...
The Politico has a report from last night's Democratic debate:
We now know something that we did not know before: When Hillary Clinton has a bad night, she really has a bad night. In a debate against six Democratic opponents at Drexel University here Tuesday, Clinton gave the worst performance of her entire campaign.
It was not just that her answer about whether illegal immigrants should be issued drivers’ licenses was at best incomprehensible and at worst misleading.
It was that for two hours she dodged and weaved, parsed and stonewalled.
And when it was over, both the Barack Obama and John Edwards campaigns signaled that in the weeks ahead they intend to hammer home a simple message: Hillary Clinton does not say what she means or mean what she says.

I didn't catch the debate last night, but this news excites me greatly...we need a real race on the Democratic side!
I still am of the belief that if John Edwards can keep his candidacy high profile enough...he's going to garner *some* votes just by being the normal white guy, issues be damned.

Edwards wants to socialize American society from top to bottom. I hope that isnt normal. Meanwhile the real Hillary came through last night, unprepared, wavering, weak all the way. Other than having the Clinton name she has nothing whatsoever going for her.

Remember that the "comeback chick" is being coached by the "comeback kid." If history teaches us anything about the Clintons, they will be back another day; probably bigger, badder and better. Sad, but true.

I agree. Edwards is like a drug dealer. He is really good at marketing his product (socialism), but would never touch the product himself, i.e. $400 dollar haircuts, hedge-fund management.
He's a hypocritcal socialism peddler. Nothing more, nothing less.
Of all the Democratic candidates, Edwards is the worst.

I actually really enjoyed the debate last night! It was fun to watch the other democrats say Hillary is more liberal than them and that she has no experience. They said she was bought and paid for by the Washington insiders and Obama said and I will quote "she is not being truthful". Looks like they might actually try for the top spot not just to see who runs with her.
Dennis K???? That man is crazy.

Unfortunately, I missed the debate last night. There was this whole pumpkin carving thing going on...
Edwards speaks more of communism than socialism in my opinion. His whole "Two Americas" crap comes straight from Engels. Reading his & Marx's "work" is eerily similar.

Socialism and Communism, two very bad ideas that never really seem to go away...

I cringe when I think of the New Deal, and its stranglehold on American Entitlement Mentatlity. I shake my head when I think of the wars fought to protect our nation against threats of socialism and communism.
How is it that our 2-party system has so evolved? National elections in 2000 and 2004 prove it is not simply media spin and hype. There really are people, American voters, who prefer socialism.
I am scratching my head in disbelief.

Senator Douglas
With all due respect, I only say normal in relation to Edwards simply by his appearance. Let's be honest with one another, the majority of voters almost NEVER vote on issues, and I think we fool ourselves to think that most voters are an educated lot.
Quite frankly, I'm of the belief alot of people will vote for the guy who looks like the status quo, which John Edwards, *outside appearance alone*, fits better than any other candidate, GOP or Democrat.
