I remember so well the conversation my husband and I had on the evening of 9/11/2001. He said that the tapes of the attacks should be played un-edited for falling bodies every day for evermore, or our memory would be short, and our will to win the war we knew was inevitable would be lost before it even began. I didn't agree with him. The horror of those hours were burned in my mind. I didn't, don't need to see it over and over again to understand the evil we faced that day and all the days that followed and still face today and for the forseeable future. I believed that my fellow Americans felt the same.

Unfortunately, my husband was right. Far to many of us have forgotten...... We have lost the resolve to finish the job we started. We have gone soft and where once we were united, we now are splintered in so many factions that UBL and his ilk are no doubt licking their chops and laughing in their caves. They are right, we are soft and we will run with tails between our legs, in the name of negotiation and appeasement. We have forgotten that the tree of freedom must be watered with the blood of patriots.

I honor those innocent people who died 6 years ago and I fear for the country that has forgotten what happened that day....... We pay lip service, but the deep commitment is gone.

Anyone who believes that if we'd just leave Iraq, they'd leave us alone is delusional. We were not in Iraq when they struck, in NY, DC, PA, or Kohbar Towers, or Achille Lauro, or the Munich Olympics, and all the other places not on our soil for all those many years. Does history not teach us anything.

2,996 on 9/11/01 and hundreds before and after.... all innocent victims of maelevolence of unprecedented proportions. I pray for all of them and for this country
