I'm on the side of the free market economists. We must have free trade and we must have immigration in order to have a prosperous society. We cannot close ourselves off and impose excessive tariffs. We've tried that before...it doesn't work. That is isolationism. Aren't conservatives supposed to hate that? Oh, wait...that is only when we try to "spread democracy" by bombing the hell out of another country then expect them to welcome us a liberators.
You spread our form of government through free and open trade. That's why we should lift our trade ban on Cuba. We don't need to have a trade war with China. The only way these countries have any chance of seeing liberty is through trade relationships that will eventually make their totalitarian governments fall.

free and open trade is not the same as fair trade. Trade imbalances such as we now enjoy with China places the US economy at risk. Not only for manufacturing jobs, but we must also consider the $Trillion dollars they have invested in our national deficit.
Economics becomes a tool, a weapon, toward power and control of a government's policies and actions.
Lou Dobbs is a complete tool. At times I think he takes a few nips off of the 'ol brandy flask before the show if you seen what I've seen. Either that or he's on the same meds his idol Rush Limbo snorts.
Lou, you're a Reich wing nut, stop saying your Independent. You schmuck!
