Tomorrow is the twentieth anniversary of Ronald Reagan's speech at the Brandenburg Gate...

This is meaningful to me for several reasons. I was stationed in Germany for 6 years and was there when the wall actually came down on Nov 9, 1989. Freedom swept across Europe because of two men, Ronald Reagan and Pope John-Paul II. As a direct result, my wife and I were in position to be able to adopt our daughter from Romania, the country with "snake pit" like orphanages. Had the wall not fallen and these two men been in power, our lives would be totally different today.
Wednesday last week, I visited the Reagan library and gravesite in California. What a beautiful mountaintop expanse. You can see for a hundred miles from Mr Reagans gravesite. God bless him! I wish we had more like him today.
