John McCain in 2008
I'm officially endorsing and supporting John McCain for the GOP nomination in 2008. Senator McCain is the best candidate to mobilize and motivate the conservative GOP base. As the heir to Barry Goldwater, John McCain's limited government credentials are unassailable.
Other reasons I support John McCain in 2008:
- In the 1980's Senator McCain gained valuable experience needed to be a leader of the Republican Party.
- Senator McCain is not beholden to the forces of political correctness.
John McCain not only supports Jack Bauer and CTU, he often helps out.- Like President Bush, John McCain doesn't let crinkly old legal precedents prevent him from protecting the American People. However, unlike our current President, he reaches across party lines to do so.
John McCain is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being I've ever known in my life. It is for these reasons and more that I wholeheartedly support John McCain for President in 2008.

Newt's stance on marriage bothers me.

Dang, guys! I thought we really had an endorsement!
Frankly it's a bit early to cast lots. I think it's interesting that Fred Thompson is running 3rd. He has not announced or raised the first dime.
I do believe the Republicans must find a communicator, ala Reagan, and Thompson is talking the talk. McCain has been saying the right things for the past week or so, but is own legacy will hurt him on the flip-flop meter. Rudy, bless his heart, only has 9/11 to run on and that ain't much outside the Northeast.
I am still in search of a candidate.
