Overreaction over a non-issue
It looks like the overreaction from the Aqua Teen Hunger Force fiasco in Boston has reached the Georgia General Assembly:
State Rep. David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) wants to require a minimum one-year prison sentence — with a maximum of five years — for those convicted under the law.[...]
Ralston said House Bill 653 was directly inspired by the Boston incident. There, promotional devices for a Cartoon Network show called "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" were mistaken for possible bombs. The investigation closed parts of metro Boston and eventually led Cartoon Network parent company Turner Broadcasting System, which is based in Atlanta, to pay $2 million to make amends.
