Remember Donna Bell Mayo? She is one of the victims of eminent domain abuse by the City of Stockbridge. Like Mark and Regina Meeks, she had a case pending before the Georgia Court of Appeals over attorney fees.

Mrs. Mayo had challenged the value of her land set by a special master and a jury awarded her an additional $5,000, but that amount did not exceed 20% of the original amount set, which meant that she was required to pay the city around $15,000 in legal fees.

She took her case to the Georgia Court of Appeals and they have ruled against her, affirming the lower court ruling by Judge Hal Craig.
