Gilmore visits Atlanta
GOP Presidential hopeful Jim Gilmore will be making the rounds under the Gold Dome tomorrow:
Only days after a meeting of Republican state lawmakers bemoaning the lack of true conservatives in the ‘08 race for the White House, former Virginia governor Jim Gilmore will come to Atlanta on Tuesday to make the case for his long-shot candidacy.I would urge some of you to look into his campaign. He’ll be squired around the Capitol by state Sen. Chip Pearson (R-Dawsonville).
Gilmore was elected governor in 1997 with promises to cut the property tax that local governments in Virginia levied on personal cars and pickup trucks.

Comments
Jason,
I live in Virginia and Jim Gilmore is probably the last Virginia politician I can actually feel proud of voting for.
His Presidential candidacy is interesting, but I doubt that he has the name recognition or money to make it all the way.
That said, a Vice-President Gilmore would be a good start.
