Morality based food laws...
This story is a great example of stupidity in government. The owner of a Chicago restaurant has received a $500 fine for serving foie gras, which was banned by the city last year.
This has to be one of the dumbest laws in the country.
Hap tip to the Mises Institute.

I think that there used to be a law in Gainsville GA that you couldn't eat fried chicken with a fork.
Can anyone verify this?

Reid/Jason:
What I seem to find more bizare is how someone came up with the idea of force feeding ducks to fatten their livers. It sounds too "Hannibal Lechter" to me. I wonder if it goes well with fava beans? I know..bad joke.
