Hanging out with the Henry Ghost Hunters
I went out with Andy, Albert and Nicole from the Henry Ghost Hunters and Rusty and Amber from the Georgia Podcast Network. We went up to Emory University to checkout what used to a either an old mental hospital or rehabilitation facility. It was once the home of Asa Candler, Jr., who was the son of Asa Candler (obviously), the founder of the Coca-Cola Company.
I can only imagine what the mansion would have looked like when it was in it's prime. I was sort of in awe at the size of the place, as well as the craftsmanship and artistry of the engravings and the paneling.
One of the things that stuck out in my mind was seeing Asa Chandler, Jr.'s safe in the basement. It added something to it...it wasn't just a vacant it home. That kind of put some personality into it.
There are several hours of audio and a ton of pictures to go over. Rusty and Amber will have some thoughts from the group on the Georgia Podcast Network soon.
Thanks to Andy and Albert for bringing me along.
