An endorsement by Steve Davis the Absurd is a kiss of death. Poor Reid.

Sure thing there, Galt.
His endorsement didn't hurt Cagle. His other two endorsements are in run-offs (Stephens and Bowman).
Steve is a good guy and has done a good job for the district.
So...I'll call you Hank O'Henry the he doesn't know what the hell he is talking about.

OK, Hank. Can I call you Hank? It seems so informal and we have not met. You must be very new to Henry County.
Not so long ago a prominent lady at the Chamber threatened Steve saying he would never get re-elected here again. And it was all about whether citizens should have fair representation and be allowed to vote on future taxation. What a mess. You would think all the political clout in the world would reign down on first-term Steve.... Note that he ran unopposed!
Not only is Steve Davis a good person, he is a dedicated public servant. Next time you want to announce a political certainty like "kiss of death" please check your references first.

Steve Davis endorsing Reid Bowman has made me only respect each of those men all the more.
Davis has put principle above politics and above his own financial interests. Davis is a realtor and could have "gone along to get along" with Frank Potts and the other developers who funded Gerry Adams' campaigns.
Instead he endorsed Bowman because of what Gerry Adams did to Bowman and Phil Crosby.
I believe that Davis has continually put the people of his district first, and that Bowman will be a great Commissioner who will do the same.
A great example is the question of whether Henry County voters should have a vote on Commuter Rail. Both Davis and Bowman (along with 84% of Henry County Republicans) think that Henry voters should vote on commuter rail.
But Gerry Adams disagreed. He voted against giving Henry voters a choice, and voted to support Clayton County in bringing commuter rail. Next stop Hampton?
I hope everyone will go out on August 8th and vote for Reid Bowman. Remember you can vote early from July 31st through August 4th at the Board of Elections at 66 Veteran Drive in McDonough or at the old tag office at 130 Berry Street in Stockbridge from 7 AM to 7 PM.

Represenative Steve Davis has been a great public servant, shown by the fact that he is unopposed for reelection.
If the endorsement by Steve Davis will hurt Bowman's chance, how about the endorsement by the Henry County FOP? Or the endorsement by the third canidate Phil Crosby?
Between them, Bowman and Crosby won enough votes to beat Adams and Crosby and his supporters are 100% behind Reid Bowman, making phone calls, going door-to-toor and replacing Phil Crosby yard signs with Reid Bowman signs.
