Rep. Kingston's Response

I don't want to steal Jason's thunder, but I'm sure he'd want this up ASAP. This is Representative Jack Kingston's Response to Jason's Question:

My overall impression: I hope Kingston becomes Speaker of the House one of these days...

Thanks, Jace!

great stuff!

First of all, I was impressed with the overall pragmatic way in which the Congressman approached Jason's question. Secondly, I was impressed with how he seemed to answer the question in a direct manner while seemingly off the cuff and unscripted. Third, I've had one too many gin and tonics tonight, so I apologize if my rationale is terrible.

Seriously, though, I think Jason's question was a great one and I think it was solid of the Congressman to step up and provide what I thought to be a legit response. One of those rare moments where I actually think an elected official is shooting straight. Wish we had more of them. I hope that the Congressman keeps up this concept and that Jason continues to fire away with direct but fair questions.

Jason,

You owe Kingston an apology for the comments you initially made and for proving you wrong.
