Crotts finally registers to vote
Mike Crotts officially admitted today that he wasn't properly registered to vote in Rockdale County by showing up late this afternoon at the elections office to complete the form he had not properly filled out until today.
A week ago, he had been sent a certified letter saying that if he didn't complete his registration by the close of business today, he stood the chance of not being allowed to vote in Rockdale County in the Primary. Note that he was given a full week after everyone else to register to vote in the primary. The cutoff date for primary registration for mere mortals was June 19.
Meanwhile, Mike Bowers, Crotts' highly paid attorney has filed a motion for review (or whatever it's called) with the Georgia Supreme Court asking for it to overturn the disqualification of his client by two judges and the Secretary of State. A decision could come as early as the end of the week. The court is not obligated to hear the case should it choose that course. Regardless, the court's action will be the final stop on this sorry saga.
