HCQG Luncheon

The Henry Council for Quality Growth had a luncheon back on April 12th. They gave everyone in the room five $100 bills to be placed in baskets that were marked with the transportation enhancement they supported the most.
The results of where people spent their money is interesting and a sign of what the community is thinking...
Add the following together...Adding New Roads, Intersection Improvments, Widening Existing Roads, Improvements to Local Streets, Access Management, Roadways Over/Under Railways, Traffic Signals, and last but not least improvements to I-75 and you have $40,600.

Now take the Express Bus, Local Transit Service, Bike/Pedestrian/Trail Improvemtent, and Commuter Rail and the total is $11,900.

That's a 4 to 1 ratio of roads over mass transit. Also note that the Xpress Bus received no money. This should be another signs to the Railians...
