Bert Gall comes to the State Capitol
Bert Gall, who represented property owners during the Kelo v. New London case, spoke to the House Judiciary Committee about much needed changes in Georgia's eminent domain laws. Gall spoke about the current laws in the state, "I think you will find any halfway competent lawyer in the state could declare any neighborhood in Georgia a slum or blighted with those particular terms, and therefore allow what happened in Kelo to happen here."
I've been told to expect the first legislation on eminent domain to be passed next week.
