Polls how Obama down big to “generic Republican” in Georgia

President Barack Obama’s campaign is planning for a scenario where he would lose Ohio, which means that he’ll looking to make a stand in other states; including Georgia. Democrats recently opened up a new headquarters in the state, showing that they are serious in the effort. It’ll be a difficult task, no doubt, especially since Democrats haven’t had much luck here in recent cycles. And according to a new poll from Insider Advantage, there is no reason to believe that things are going to change.

The poll shows that Obama would lose to the “Republican” by a substantial margin.

  • Barack Obama: 38%
  • Republican: 54%
  • Undecided: 8%

A couple months ago, I thought Obama would perform better in Georgia than many thought. But with things going how they are now, I’m thinking that 45% may be where he winds up.
