Henry commissioner accused of abuse

Newly minted Henry County Commissioner Bruce Holmes, the lone Democrat on the BOC, is coming under fire for alleged inappropriate behavior:

On Wednesday of last week Electra Holmes went to a Fairview medical office for an exam. Next she went to the Fairview police precinct to file a complaint against her husband Bruce Holmes for spousal abuse. According to sources he has allegedly admitted dragging her across the floor by her hair, bur denies hitting her. Henry County police confirmed a complaint has been filed but would offer no comment on the ongoing investigation.

Mrs. Holmes was escorted to her house at 200 Asante Drive to collect clothing, etc. before taking her to Haven House, where she spent Wednesday night. She has since returned home. According to sources, there were no pictures on the walls and sparse furniture. Electra Holmes allegedly made comments that Bruce owns a house in DeKalb County where they actually live.

Wow. If that’s true, Holmes needs to resign and seek help.
