An announcement from Rep. Steve Davis: GDOT to hold a concept plan meeting for the expansion of I-75 in Henry county!
A design concept meeting will be held on January 25, 2008, at 1:30pm at the Georgia Department fo Transportation located at No. 2 Capital Square, Atlanta, Georgia.
The proposed projects will construct one lane within the existing median for both southbound and northbound I-75 in Henry County. The project begins at the I-75 Bridge over State Route 155 and ends approximtely 600 feet north of the I-75 southbound off ramp to State Route 138 just at the Henry/Clayton county line.

This is a preliminary meeting to discuss concepts but it is a huge step forward in the process. We still have a long way to go and we still need to fight for the money from the “alphabet soup” of agencies.
What this does show is the support goes way beyond the legislative delegation from Henry County and we will be moving forward.
please implement I-75 construction in Henry county. It’ so hard to go anywhere when traffic is backed up. I am a senior citizen, we have a harder time to negotiate these traffic problems. thank you. George Katona
