The Great Stockbridge Land Theft

Someone on Henry County Online wants to see plans on the Stockbridge Redevelopment Plan or as I call it, the Great Stockbridge Land Theft. You can view them here.
There is a good article in the AJC today on eminent domain.
John Adams once said, “The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, and that there is no force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence. Property must be secured or liberty cannot exist.” Our Founding Fathers believed in individual rights and the base of individual rights came from the right to property. The Supreme Court Justices that ruled in favor of the City of New London in the Kelo case pissed on the Constitution. The redefined the public use clause, which had been used for a fire house or road and even schools (though the constitutionality of that can be questioned). The Supreme Court ruled that to condemn land for economic development was constitutional. I can imagine that our Founders spun in their respective graves.
What Stockbridge is doing is wrong. They are stealing land. They know that the state legislature will act in January. So, the city leaders are moving as fast as the can and are ignoring the cries of state legislators and concerned citizens.
