John Roberts Vote Count

It seems that John Robert is a shoe in for the Supreme Court. Assuming that all 55 Republicans will vote for him, he has the support of Democratic Senators Patrick Leahy (VT), Bill Nelson (FL), Ben Nelson (NE), Mark Pryor (AR), Tim Johnson (SD), Max Baucus (MT), Robert Byrd (WV), Jeff Bingaman (NM), Kent Conrad (ND), Russ Feingold (WI), Herb Kohl (WI), and Mary Landrieu (LA).
By my count that is 67 total votes, again I’m assuming all Republican Senators will vote to confirm. So far only 15 Democratic Senators have said that they will vote against him, some of them are Ted Kennedy (MA), John Kerry (MA), Barbara Boxer (CA), Diane Feinstein (CA, Evan Byah (IN), Hillary Clinton (NY) and Harry Reid (NV).
You can watch the Senate hearings on C-SPAN. A full vote of the Senate is expected on Thursday, I believe.
Remember, Bush still has to name a replacement for Sandra Day O’Connor. My wish? Janice Rogers Brown.
